Homemade churros recipe

Treat yourself to the irresistible and comforting taste of freshly fried churros, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, dusted with cinnamon sugar and served with a rich chocolate dipping sauce for the ultimate heartwarming dessert.

Ingredients:

  • One cup water
  • 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1 tsp of Vanilla Essence
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 3 eggs
  • Oil

Steps:

  1. Heat your stove on medium.
  2. Take your saucepan and pour one cup of water.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
  4. Add a 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  5. Add your 1/2 cup of butter
  6. Mix everything until it starts to boil.
  7. While it’s boiling, add 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Essence.
  8. Pour in your 1 cup of flour.
  9. Use a rubber spatula or a wooden spoon and mix it all up until it forms a dough consistency and turn off the heat while you’re at it.
  10. Let the dough cool for a few minutes.
  11. Transfer the dough into a mixing bowl and start adding your 3 eggs in one by one. Mix in between, and do not add all of them in at once.
  12. Grab a piping bag and your metal tip, then start transferring your dough with a spoon. Use a cup so it’s easier for the piping bag to stand in while you’re adding your dough.
  13. Grab a wide pan and heat up your oil so you can start frying. ( Ask for an adult to help you, oil can get really hot! )
  14. Start squeezing the dough out until it’s about a finger length long or longer, and add in 2 or 3 at a time. Fry until it’s golden brown and take some metal tongs to take the churros out and place it on a plate.
  15. Grab a box with a lid and add in reasonable amount of sugar and the same amount of cinnamon so that you can coat your churros with it. ( The coating makes the churros taste heavenly. )
  16. Place your finished churros to the side and maybe enjoy it with some vanilla ice cream!
